Differential Gene Expression Analysis for Aromatase Inhibitors Treatment on Breast Cancer Patients

چکیده
Breast cancer is the most common global malignancy and leading cause of deaths for women. Aromatase inhibitors are clinically recommended therapy disorders. However, resistance to aromatase therapies still occurs underlined molecular mechanisms poorly understood. The tumour specimens consisted inhibitor-sensitive inhibitor-resistant breast patients, who were compared differentially expressed genes patients generated related genetic network was explored. enriched cellular process signaling cassettes also in-depth investigated. Compared with 896 showed a significant differential expression. 621 significantly up-regulated 275 remarkably downregulated. From interaction network, including signal recognition particle 72, B-cell lymphoma-2 associated transcription factor 1, cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide defensin alpha 1B could be considered as key target treatment in patients. These processes involving immunoglobulin complex, cell division others while, drug metabolism other signalling study speculated several novel gene targets therapeutic initiated beneficial direction future research.

Differential effects of aromatase inhibitors and antiestrogens on estrogen receptor expression in breast cancer cells.
BACKGROUND Estrogen receptors (ER) alpha and beta play an important role in breast cancer. Recently, systemic adjuvant endocrine therapy with selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) tamoxifen has been challenged by aromatase inhibitors. Compared to antiestrogens, third-generation aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole and letrozole) exhibit an improved efficacy and tolerability. MATERIALS AND...

A cross-sectional study was performed to assess bone health history among aromatase inhibitor (AI) users before breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, which may impact fracture risk after AI therapy and choice of initial hormonal therapy. A total of 2,157 invasive BC patients initially treated with an AI were identified from a prospective cohort study at Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC). Dat...

The development of aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer therapy is a result of successful translational research exploring the biochemical effects of different compounds in vivo. Studies assessing plasma oestrogen levels as well as in vivo aromatase inhibition have revealed a consistent difference with respect to biochemical efficacy between the third generation compounds (anastrozole, letroz...

متن کاملAromatase Inhibitors: a New Hope for Breast Cancer Patients
Breast Cancer is the leading cause of mortality among the women of age 30 to 60. Endocrine therapy used for the treatment has shown promising results in which the antiestrogen tamoxifen has been the standard first-line treatment used for more than 30 years. But its side effects like resistance, increase risk of thromboembolism, endometrial cancer and uterine sarcoma limits its use. The developm...
